If he did not wear the RFC badges he would worn the 148th badges, because original battalion numbers and identities were, however, retained with no change of cap badge other in the following exeptions: The 8th, the 10th the 14th and the 23rd Reserve Battalions. The 20th Reserve Battalion did not had their own cap badge. Bu I have seen pictures of a Danish volunteer in the 87th Battalion who worn the badges of the Royal Artillery, but i can have been arranged for the pictures only.
